This notice explains how Muzo handles personal data when you use Muzo Jam Live. Muzo is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

Data we collect and why

• Account data (email, login credentials, display name, profile details) — to create and run your account (contract).
• Session and audio data (rooms you create or join, live audio streams, recordings you save) — to provide jamming, recording, and mixing (contract).
• Usage and technical data (IP address, device and browser info, network latency measurements, logs) — for security, fraud prevention, and improving the Service (legitimate interests).
• Support messages — to respond to you (contract / legitimate interests).
• Marketing preferences — only if you opt in (consent).

Public profiles and public jam rooms are visible to other users by design.

Who we share data with

• Service providers who host and operate the Service (cloud hosting, database, storage, real-time connectivity).
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling subscriptions, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting).
• Authorities where required by law.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

Retention

We keep account data while your account is active. Recordings are kept until you delete them or close your account. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised, except where we must keep it by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us through the app and we will respond within one month.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and private storage for recordings.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and remember settings. We do not use advertising cookies.
